BeforeYouFindAJob does not give careers, legal, financial, immigration or employment advice. It reports published statistics and helps you organise your own search. What you decide to do with it is your decision, so check anything important with the employer or a qualified adviser.
What the site is

The site brings together official statistics about online job adverts for occupations across the UK, and tools to help you plan and keep track of a job search.
What the figures are
Adverts are not vacancies
The figures are Office for National Statistics counts of online job adverts, not jobs or vacancies. They lag, are revised, and are sometimes withheld, and each one shows the period it belongs to. About our data explains them. Contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0.
Checking an advert
A reading of the advert, not a verdict
The checker picks out what an advert says, using fixed text rules and, where available, an AI model. It can miss or misread things, so you can correct what it found. It does not tell you whether a job is right for you or whether to apply.

We work to keep the site available and its figures accurate, but we cannot promise it will always be either, and pages or features may change. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss that comes from relying on the site without checking. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
